We are looking for a Founding Engineer for a client. The company is building intelligent control systems that use machine learning and digital twins to optimize hydrogen electrolyzers.
As a founding engineer, you will help replace traditional rules-based controllers by building algorithms that ingest contextual data (weather, electricity, system parameters) to optimize production schedules. Your work will directly drive a 40% cost reduction and a 10-20% hardware lifespan extension.
About the team
The team is an office-first team of 8. You will be working with a group of very smart people.
Currently the team is using Python and Node. But they are also increasingly using C++ to build more high-performant systems.
About you
To succeed in this role, you need:
- Solid backend engineering experience using Python and FastAPI.
- Experience working close to hardware, such as Raspberry Pi, local servers, or industrial control systems.
- Knowledge of ML and process simulation.
- To thrive in a high-intensity, fast-paced, and office-first startup environment.
Experience with C++ or C# for building high-performance systems is a strong plus.
