High-growth health-tech business currently undergoing a technical evolution backed by recent private equity investment - transitioning from an underinvested custom PHP framework to a modern, scalable Laravel architecture.

Not just a website; it’s a complex ecosystem that manages everything from approvals and prescriptions to warehouse management and global shipping.

We are looking for a Senior PHP Developer to join a small team and lead the charge in untangling a 15-year-old codebase into a high-performance platform.

The Challenge

• Refactor a legacy, non-OOP PHP 8.3 platform into a modern MVC architecture (Laravel/Hotwire).
• Manage intricate back-office processes and a web of external integrations and APIs.
• Build a resilient system where changes no longer cause regressions, reducing stress for the core team and enabling organic growth.

What You’ll Do

• Architectural Leadership: Lead the migration from a legacy custom build to Laravel, shaping the future of our technical standards.
• Full-Stack Ownership: Own features end-to-end, from MySQL optimisation to managing AWS infrastructure and deployments.
• AI-Enabled Development: Leverage tools like Claude and LLMs to accelerate development and stay at the forefront of "AI-enabled" engineering.
• Collaborative Building: Work directly with the CTO and a UI/UX designer in a high-trust, low-ego environment.
