Job Description

Requirements

• Ability to manage time and projects effectively
• Solid experience working with Puppet Enterprise or Puppet Open Source (Puppet 4 or newer)
• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Systems Administration, Automation, or Network Infrastructure
• Strong Unix/Linux system administration or DevOps background with automation experience
• Strong customer-facing and presentation skills (comfortable speaking with clients and audiences)
• Experience interacting with clients and internal stakeholders (in-person, virtual, and calls)
• Excellent problem-solving skills with logical and analytical thinking
• Passion for working with Puppet and open-source communities
• Technical degree (CS/IT/Engineering/IT Security) or equivalent experience
• Ability to travel up to 10% domestically

Preferred (Good to Have)

• Programming skills (Ruby, Python, Go, etc.)
• Windows system administration experience (including PowerShell)
• Experience with large-scale infrastructure
• Knowledge of data center management, networking, security, and monitoring systems
• Professional services experience in an open-source or enterprise software company
• Puppet Certification

Responsibilities

• Work directly with customers to design and implement solutions for faster and more reliable software delivery
• Deliver Puppet training sessions and workshops to customers
• Collaborate with the education team to update and maintain training content
• Provide pre-sales support to Sales and Marketing teams
• Develop, publish, and maintain Puppet modules and related products
• Build and promote integrations and tooling around Puppet solutions
• Contribute to blogs and other technical communication related to Puppet
