As a Network Support Engineer, you will join our Digital Modernization practice, where technology and strategy combine to deliver exceptional digital experiences, empowering organizations to thrive in today's digital market.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day operational support for local site network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, wireless, and perimeter security)
  • Monitor, log, track, and resolve network-related incidents and performance issues, escalating when appropriate
  • Perform network troubleshooting and root cause analysis for outages, latency, and connectivity issues
  • Support and maintain network hardware and configurations, including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless controllers
  • Assist with network changes, moves/adds/changes, and configuration updates following established change and security processes
  • Maintain and update network documentation and Visio diagrams to reflect current-state configurations
  • Collaborate with central IT, vendors, and site stakeholders to ensure network reliability and minimal business disruption
  • Follow established security, patching, and vulnerability management processes as they apply to network devices
  • Provide knowledge transfer and operational handoff documentation at the conclusion of the 90-day engagement
  • Work occasional off-hours or non-traditional hours as needed to minimize production impact during network work

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience supporting enterprise network environments
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • LAN architecture and support
    • VLANs, TCP/IP, routing, and switching
    • Network troubleshooting and incident resolution
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical issues to both IT and non-IT stakeholders
  • Strong documentation and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Cisco experience (CCNA or equivalent knowledge)
  • Experience with:
    • Firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto)
    • SNMP, syslog, SSH
    • Wireless networking support
    • Network monitoring and packet analysis tools
  • Familiarity with ITIL-based operational support environments

Physical And Work Environment Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment while wearing appropriate PPE

The salary range for this role is $75,000 to $110,000 or the hourly equivalent.
