We are looking for a senior Laravel Backend Developer who can take ownership of backend services and contribute to system scalability and performance.

Role Overview

The Laravel Backend Developer will be responsible for building and maintaining robust backend systems and APIs. This role requires strong experience in Laravel, MySQL performance optimization, and the ability to work with complex business logic while leveraging AI-assisted development tools for efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Laravel (PHP)
• Build secure and scalable RESTful APIs
• Manage and optimize MySQL databases, queries, and large datasets
• Implement caching, queues, cron jobs, and background workers
• Collaborate with frontend developers and product teams for integrations
• Troubleshoot production issues and deliver long-term solutions
• Use AI coding tools (e.g., Cursor.ai, GitHub Copilot) for faster debugging, refactoring, and documentation
• Ensure clean, secure, and maintainable codebases
• Mentor junior developers and participate in code reviews

Required Skills & Experience

• 4–5 years of strong hands-on experience with Laravel framework
• Deep understanding of OOP principles, MVC architecture, and API-driven development
• Advanced experience with MySQL optimization, indexing, and performance tuning
• Experience implementing authentication, authorization, and security best practices
• Strong command of Git, Linux environments, and deployment workflows
• Comfortable using AI-assisted coding tools such as Cursor.ai or similar

Good to Have

• Experience scaling SaaS or high-traffic platforms
• Knowledge of Redis, queues, and event-driven systems
• Exposure to cloud infrastructure (AWS, DigitalOcean, etc.)
• Familiarity with modular or microservice-based architectures
