An opportunity has arisen within a well‑established organisation operating in the financial services sector for a Financial Accountant to join its Cost Accounting team.

This position will play a key role in supporting month‑end activity, cost reporting, forecasting and the enhancement of financial processes across the organisation.

Responsibilities:

• Manage month‑end cost reporting, including preparation and posting of cost journals.
• Ensure all costs are recorded accurately and on time within the General Ledger.
• Analyse cost trends and provide clear commentary across categories and business lines.
• Support quarterly cost forecasting and budgeting in collaboration with business stakeholders.
• Develop automated cost reports and contribute to ongoing process improvements.

Requirements:

• Qualified Accountant with at least two years’ experience in a similar finance or cost-focused role.
• Strong Excel skills, including lookups, pivot tables, and advanced formulas.
• Experience in month‑end close processes.
• Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and an ability to manage deadlines.
• Effective communicator with a proactive, improvement‑focused mindset.
