PRODUCT DESIGNER
Patricia Urquiola Studio is looking for a Product Designer to join our Design team in Milan. If you are passionate about crafting unique, high-end products and have a keen eye for detail, we would love to hear from you.
Who we are
Patricia Urquiola Studio is an interdisciplinary design practice based in Milan, working across architecture, product, interiors, and art direction for international clients, with a strong focus on material exploration and innovation.
What you’ll do
As part of our Design team, you will contribute to the design and development of high-end products, including:
- Research & Inspiration: Conducting visual and material research, exploring design references, material innovations, market trends, and production techniques
- Concept Development: Translating design visions into innovative product ideas through sketches, AI tools, 3D models, and presentations
- 3D Modeling & Visualization: Developing detailed models and renderings using Rhino and Keyshot
- Material & Manufacturing Research: Selecting materials and production techniques that enhance both aesthetics and functionality
- Prototyping & Testing: Collaborating with artisans, manufacturers, and suppliers to refine prototypes and resolve challenges
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in product design and development, ideally in furniture, lighting, and high-end products
- Strong proficiency in Rhino, Keyshot, and Adobe Creative Suite
- Strong awareness of contemporary design, product culture, and material innovation
- A balance of creativity and technical knowledge, with a strong understanding of materials and production processes
- Experience working directly with manufacturers and suppliers is considered a strong plus
- A proactive and resourceful designer, skilled at identifying challenges early and proposing creative, technically sound solutions
- Strong collaboration skills, with experience working alongside engineers, artisans, and suppliers to bring concepts to life
- Fluency in English is required; Italian is highly appreciated.
