Amazon is seeking an associate paralegal to join the Corporate Legal team. Responsibilities include international entity formation/maintenance, ongoing subsidiary compliance matters, acquisition and restructuring projects, and liaising with external counsel and internal business and legal partners. Candidate must thrive on the challenge of a fast-paced environment and work autonomously to execute multiple time-sensitive projects. Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Speak, write, and read fluently in English
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel
- Can work proactively and independently, meet deadlines, and deliver on projects and tasks
- Experience managing multiple projects and priorities across teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Experience completing complex tasks quickly with little to no guidance and react with appropriate urgency to situations that require a quick turnaround
- Previous work experience as a corporate paralegal or related experience with a multinational/Fortune 500 company or law firm, including entity governance, board/director communications, and compliance with statutory obligations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong judgment, even in ambiguous situations, and discretion with confidential matters
- Experience working cross functionally across several teams
- Experience in relevant industries such as law, customer service, investigations or project management
- Experience drafting and negotiating corporate documentation and conducting legal due diligence
- Proficiency in Global Entity Management System (GEMS) or other entity management system
- Experience using and building AI tools to simplify workflows
