We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to support a large‑scale sustainability initiative within the industrial sector. The role focuses on coordinating complex technical workstreams and guiding multidisciplinary teams delivering an advanced engineering project within the sustainable fuels domain.
Location: Netherlands (Hybrid working required)
Start Date: ASAP / April–May 2026
Languages: Must be fluent in English; Dutch is desirable
Rate: Competitive freelance day rate (DOE)
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coordinate, and track project execution across engineering, operations, and external partners
- Manage planning, schedules, milestones, and progress reporting
- Oversee risk management and ensure mitigation plans are executed effectively
- Support project governance, documentation, stage‑gate preparations, and compliance processes
- Facilitate communication between technical and non‑technical stakeholders
- Ensure project deliverables are achieved on time and within scope
- Contribute to continuous improvement and structured project control processes
Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 10+ years of experience managing industrial, energy, or large‑scale technical projects
- Strong understanding of multidisciplinary engineering environments
- Proven capability working with complex stakeholder landscapes
- Excellent organisational, communication, and problem‑solving skills
- Fluent in English; Dutch language skills are an advantage
- Ability to work on‑site in the Netherlands several days per week
