Job Description:

The Data Management Analyst supports the Data Management Lead in operating the Data Domain Management (DDM) framework across RISK MCL.

The role is responsible for day to day execution of data management activities, including data quality remediation follow up, maintenance of data definitions and documentation, data lineage support, and KPI monitoring and analysis, in close collaboration with the Data Governance team.

The role plays a critical part in ensuring enterprise data is well defined, documented, controlled, and trusted.


Main Tasks:

  • Data Quality Remediation & Follow Up
  • Maintain the data quality issue backlog and remediation action plans.
  • Proactively follow up with Data Owners, Data Stewards, and Data Domain Managers to ensure timely remediation.
  • Chase overdue actions and ensure delivery within agreed SLAs.
  • Track remediation progress and prepare escalation materials for the Data Management Lead.
  • Ensure remediation actions are clearly documented and auditable.
  • Data Definition, Documentation & Lineage
  • Maintain data definitions in the central data dictionary, ensuring consistency, clarity, and business alignment.
  • Support Data Owners and Data Stewards in defining and updating critical data elements.
  • Ensure data documentation (definitions, rules, ownership, usage constraints) is complete and up to date.
  • Contribute to the documentation and maintenance of end to end data lineage.
  • Ensure alignment between data definitions, lineage, and data quality controls.
  • Data Quality KPI Monitoring & Trend Analysis
  • Produce and maintain data quality KPIs, dashboards, and reporting.
  • Analyze trends, recurring issues, and structural weaknesses in data quality.
  • Identify emerging risks or deteriorations and highlight them to the Data Management Lead.
  • Support preparation of materials for governance forums and senior management reporting.
  • Close Collaboration with Data Governance
  • Work closely with the Data Governance team to ensure alignment between governance standards and operational practices.
  • Support implementation of data governance policies, standards, and controls.
  • Ensure data ownership, stewardship, and definitions are consistently applied across domains.
  • Act as an operational bridge between Data Governance and Data Domain teams.
  • Support to Data Domain Management & Community
  • Support the animation of the Data Steward / Data Champion community.
  • Assist Data Domain Managers in applying the DDM operating model consistently.
  • Act as a first point of contact for operational data management questions.


Technical Skills:

  • Experience in data analysis, data management, or data quality roles.
  • Strong understanding of data definitions, metadata, and data documentation.
  • Familiarity with data dictionaries, data catalogs, and lineage concepts.
  • Understanding of data quality dimensions and issue management.
  • Exposure to data governance frameworks is a strong plus.
