As a Senior Product Designer within the Learning Experience squad, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the engagement and success of learners using our AI-enabled English learning app. You will own the design lifecycle for core learning activities—such as navigation, lesson maps, quizzes, and pronunciation practice—ensuring seamless user experiences and scalable systems. Your expertise will directly influence how learners interact with educational content and drive innovation in digital learning products.

Your Role & Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end design for quizzes, lessons, pronunciation practice, and the learning map
• Design reusable components and patterns that work across multiple content types
• Contribute to and eventually own the Companion design system
• Create detailed designs in Figma and prototypes for testing and development handoff
• Support experiments to test new content formats and learning interactions
• Work closely with product managers, engineers, and data analysts
• Use research and data to inform design decisions

Qualifications & Experience

Requirements

• 5+ years designing digital products with a strong portfolio showing systems thinking
• Expert-level Figma skills
• Experience building and managing design systems
• Mobile design experience (iOS and Android)
• Comfortable working with data analysts and interpreting quantitative insights
• Excellent communication skills in English
• Experience running user research and usability testing
• T-shaped generalist – expert in technical areas of design, but able to run research, discovery, workshops, etc.
• Systems thinker who sees patterns and designs for scale
• AI-native - uses AI tools throughout the design process
• Experiment-oriented and comfortable testing ideas and iterating based on results
• Comfortable with ambiguity and able to drive clarity

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Proficiency with AI tools (Cursor or similar) in your design workflow
• Experience supporting quant. experiments and A/B tests
• Background in education or learning products
• Experience working in Agile teams with sprints and iterative delivery
