Role: Interface Designer

Required Technical Skill Set: SAP BTPIS/CPI, Biztalk, Azure & UC4

Location of Requirement: Solna, Sweden

Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role

Work on tickets related to the BMC ITSM applications

Support and maintain Helix ITSM suite. Identify and resolve issues arises in Helix ITSM application suite

Upgrade and patch Helix ITSM suite

Prepare effort estimation for new projects and change requests

Integrate Helix ITSM applications with other third party software/tools

Collaborate with the team to troubleshoot issues, suggest improvements

Work with BMC support to get solution for product related issues

Report the Status, Raise the Risk/Issue(s) and provide the feedback to the Project Manager.

Must-Have:

Interface Designer

Analyse incoming requirements, match to Architecture Pattern, define strategy per IF

Break down and document strategy per IF into technical spec. if needed support with functional spec.

Request input from IF owner (e.g. mappings) for IF spec completeness

Coordinate and monitor documentation contribution of technical delivery teams

Deliverables / Artifacts May Be Responsible (ensuring documentation of the following & ensuring that it is pristine) For:

• Interface Requirement Document (IRD)FS

• Interface Design Document (IDD / TS) -->TS

• Technical Interface Specification (TIS) TS

• Mapping Specification Document FS, IF Designer sanity check of this.

• Interface Monitoring Checklist & Error Handling / Monitoring Plan

Architectural at the moment. Capabilities offered, IF Design to ask how to handle error handling. IF Designer needs to have a general understanding of this and how this works.

• Interface Catalogue Maintenance-> Masterlist in excel, DevOps etc, Solman

Technical knowledge: General understanding SAP capacities, e.g. SAP clean core (CDS) and SAP S4 capabilities. Understanding of middleware in general such as SAP BTPIS/CPI, Biztalk, Azure & UC4.

Skills: Tidiness, Patience, being able to adapt to the project landscape where work is done.

Communication skills: Ability to present design decisions and rationales to stakeholders and collaborate effectively within a team. It is important to pick up questions and clarify these with the relevant experts.
