We are seeking a highly skilled System Architect to lead the design and development of business agility layer and integrations for our FinTech. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in full stack architecture, API development, cloud infrastructure, and ensuring seamless integrations with third-party financial services and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and oversee the architecture of mobile app backend systems, ensuring scalability, security, and high performance.
  • Develop and maintain APIs, microservices, and backend infrastructure to support mobile applications.
  • Lead the integration of third-party financial services, payment gateways, and banking systems.
  • Ensure compliance with FinTech regulatory requirements and security standards.
  • Work closely with developers, product managers, and security teams to align technical solutions with business needs.
  • Optimize backend performance and reliability through monitoring, logging, and automated testing.
  • Drive best practices in DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native solutions.
  • Document system architecture, integration workflows, and security protocols.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends in FinTech, cloud computing, and backend development.


Qualifications, Experience, Skills And Competencies

Minimum experience:

  • Minimum 5-8 years of experience as System architect/Solution architect.
  • Experience with financial services APIs, payment processors, and banking integrations.
  • Knowledge of authentication and security protocols (OAuth, JWT, OpenID Connect).
  • Strong Knowledge on designing / building scalable and secure backend/middleware
  • Certifications in cloud architecture, security, or backend development.


Minimum education:

  • Minimum Bachelor degree


Knowledge and skills:

  • Expert knowledge in system design, especially in fintech space.
  • Extensive experience in backend development and system architecture.
  • Familiarity with fintech and it's nuances in terms of backend design, transactional behaviors
  • Strong knowledge of API design, RESTful services, GraphQL, and microservices architecture.
  • Very strong in integration and interoperable system design with proven technologies.
  • Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Experience with programming languages like Java, Node.js, Go, Ruby, or C#.
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Expertise in database management including SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MS SQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, DynamoDB, Cassandra).
  • Experience with event-driven architectures and messaging queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ, AWS SQS, Pub/Sub).
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation) and monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced FinTech environment.
  • Knowledge of wallet/core systems would be added advantage.

This role carries full end-to-end accountability for implementation and delivery of EITC Financial Services Mobile applications and Integrations.
