Hays is proud to partner with a leading organisation embarking on a significant new office build project. We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to support the commissioning and delivery of two new sites, ensuring a high‑quality, reliable, and secure network environment.

Your new role

As the Network Engineer, you will play a hands‑on role in the end‑to‑end commissioning of two new office builds. You will be responsible for supporting the deployment and quality assurance of the network infrastructure, working closely with the Designer/Consultant, electricians, and the existing Networks team.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the commissioning and rollout of Ethernet switches across two new office sites
• Work within a Cisco Catalyst Centre environment with Nexus Data Centre switches operating as distribution
• Conduct QA checks on electrical contractor work, including installation accuracy and logical port labelling
• Collaborate with project designers, consultants, and internal network engineers to ensure seamless integration
• Assist with WiFi-related activities (vendor-led delivery)
• Provide technical input to ensure network performance, stability, and best-practice implementation

What you'll need to succeed

• Proven experience as a Network Engineer within medium–large enterprise environments
• Strong knowledge of Cisco Catalyst, Nexus DC, and general switching technologies
• Experience in new site builds, infrastructure commissioning, or large-scale network deployments
• Ability to interpret network designs and verify implementation accuracy
• Strong communication skills and ability to work across multiple project stakeholders
• Availability to commence immediately
