General Description:
The IT Applications Unit Manager is responsible for defining application strategies and effectively managing the application development services received. He/she ensures the necessary guidance and collaboration are provided for the successful completion of application projects and project deliverables are completed on time and in accordance with the quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Define application strategies and priorities in line with company strategies, prepare the scope and objectives of the application services to be acquired, and ensure the necessary approvals are obtained.
- For procured/developed application services:
- Monitor project timelines, track progress, prepare performance reports, and present them to senior management.
- Ensure that application development/procurement projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Manage quality control processes in application development/procurement projects, ensuring the production of high-quality deliverables and their dissemination within the company.
- Stay up-to-date with technological innovations and ensure the continuous improvement of application components.
- Collaborate with business units and other departments to provide solutions that meet customer requirements and implement them.
- Ensure that application development/procurement projects comply with IT standards and legal regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related fields (Master’s degree preferred).
- At least 7 years of experience in application development/procurement, project management, and data analytics.
- Advanced problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
- Strong communication and leadership competencies.
- Ability to manage teams, motivate, and provide mentorship.
- Awareness of technology trends and willingness to adopt new software development tools.
- Proficient in English (both written and spoken).
- Knowledge of application security, compliance, and cybersecurity.
