Company Description

Launched in 2021 with a simple yet bold mission, Flink set out to give people back their most valuable resource: time. We didn't just join the quick commerce race, we defined its potential. By enabling customers to order from a curated selection of over 3,000 groceries and household essentials through our user-centric app, we deliver what people need in minutes. We have fundamentally shifted the retail landscape across Germany and the Netherlands, while embedding sustainability into our core through an all-electric delivery fleet, recyclable packaging, and a focus on reducing food waste.

Today, Flink has evolved from a disruptive startup into a resilient and sustainable powerhouse. In an industry defined by rapid change, we’ve mastered the balance of hyper-efficiency and massive scale. With a network of around 160 hubs, we now bring the Flink experience to more than 22 million people, making us an integral part of the urban infrastructure. This impact is driven by a dedicated team of more than 10,000 colleagues, including a fully employed rider fleet that serves as the backbone of our operations. By generating over €550m in revenue in 2025, we have proven that our model is not only desirable but financially formidable.

Having built a proven foundation, we are now shifting from establishing our presence to accelerating our impact. Backed by prestigious partners like Prosus, Mubadala, Bond, DoorDash, Btomorrow Ventures and REWE, and fueled by fresh investment, we are entering our next major growth phase. We are thinking bigger, expanding our footprint, and refining every link in our value chain.

Our culture is defined by a shared bias for action and the commitment to being 1% better every day. We take ownership, stay close to the frontline, and support one another to ensure we never let another Flinker fail. We celebrate diversity and believe that our multicultural team is our greatest competitive advantage.

Are you ready to shape the future of quick commerce with us?

We’re looking for a Mid-Level Product Designer (m/f/d) to join our OpsTech Product Design Team, focused on building and improving the internal tools for Riders and Operations teams. You’ll collaborate closely with a Lead Designer and cross-functional partners to design high-impact workflows that power our day-to-day operations and enhance customer experience.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex operational problems close with stakeholders, has strong collaboration with the team and designs systems that balance business goals with real-world user constraints.

Job Description

  • Design and iterate in the customer facing product (e.g., post order experience, cancellation flows) and internal tools that support Riders and Hub Managers across critical operational workflows (e.g., order fulfilment, performance, delay experience).
  • Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and Ops stakeholders to translate business needs into intuitive, efficient user experiences.
  • Ownership over the discovery efforts together with PM, EM and Data by participating in research, design critiques, stakeholder interviews, and data analysis to deeply understand operational pain points.
  • Own features end-to-end — from early exploration and prototyping to design QA and post-release iteration.
  • Simplify complex processes into clear, usable flows that increase efficiency and reduce friction in high-pressure operational environments.
  • Contribute to the evolution of not only our OpsTech design patterns, but also to the general Consumer Design System, ensuring consistency, scalability, and strong UX foundations across the app.
  • Support documentation and design communication to ensure clarity across product and engineering teams.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in product design, UX/UI design, or a related field.
  • A portfolio showcasing product design work (consumer-facing experiences is a plus).
  • Experience with Figma and other industry-standard design tools.
  • Interest in developing AI skills that can enhance and transform your design process.
  • A user-first approach, balancing business goals with intuitive and delightful experiences.
  • Ability to think beyond the interface, considering user flows, information architecture, and overall UX strategy to create cohesive and effective experiences.
  • Familiarity with design systems and design ops best practices, or a willingness to learn and contribute.
  • Basic knowledge of user research methodologies and experience applying insights to design decisions.
  • A strong communicator with a collaborative mindset, excited to work across teams and learn from senior designers.
