Data Analyst | Insurance

The role will be responsible for collecting, analysing and interpreting data to support informed decision-making within the organisation. You will play a crucial role in extracting meaningful insights from large datasets, identifying trends and providing actionable recommendations to enhance business strategies. The position requires a strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.

The Role

• Gather and extract financial data from various sources
• Ensure data accuracy and reliability through data validation processes.
• Transform data into a format suitable for analysis, ensuring data integrity and quality.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify patterns, trends and anomalies.
• Utilise statistical methods and techniques to derive actionable insights from financial datasets.
• Develop and maintain financial models to simulate different scenarios and assess potential impacts on business outcomes.
• Create and maintain dashboards and reports to present analytical findings to stakeholders.
• Use visualisation tools to communicate complex data insights effectively.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and address analytical needs.
• Collaborate with IT and data engineering teams to ensure the availability and accessibility of required data.
• Identify opportunities to enhance data analytics processes and tools.

The Person

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Finance, Economics, Statistics, Data Science).
• Previous experience as a Data Analyst in the insurance sector.
• Proficiency in SQL and data visualisation tools (Tableau, Power BI).
• Expertise in statistical analysis tools (R, Python).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with complex datasets.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong understanding of Business Intelligence strategies.
• Effective communication skills to convey findings to non-technical stakeholders.
