Product Manager
Shaping the Future of Drone Technology and Services
Full-time · Amsterdam
About Avy
Avy builds autonomous drones that save lives. We develop and operate long-range unmanned aircraft for emergency services, remote monitoring, and intelligent surveillance. Our partners are among the first organisations in the world to integrate drone operations into their daily workflows — and the impact is real: faster emergency response, remotely operated inspections, and critical intelligence for security operations.
We’re an award-winning Amsterdam-based scale-up at the frontier of unmanned aviation. We combine the energy and boldness of a startup with the discipline and safety standards of a professional aviation organisation.
Our drones are not just products—they’re mission-critical tools that help save lives and create impact - whether that's identifying and/or reducing risks, monitoring, saving time, saving money or transforming industries. To make a growing and lasting impact to make things happen we are now looking for a Product Manager to strengthen the Product team.
About the role
As a Product Manager, you’ll define and deliver the next generation of drone technology and our operator services, balancing technical and operational excellence with real-world operational needs. Your work will directly impact the success of our customers and the growth of our company.
The Product team consists of two members, including you. You will collaborate closely with your counterpart, strategically dividing the work to best leverage your combined knowledge and experience. You report into the COO.
We are looking for a strategic thinker with a passion for technology and a drive to solve complex challenges.
Key responsibilities
Own the customer problem, from the field to the roadmap. You research the market and competitive landscape. You spend time with the people who rely on our service to truly understand what they are trying to accomplish, what gets in their way and what success looks like for them. You map where Avy can deliver real value today and in the future. You translate what you learn into a clear product vision and a roadmap that balances customer impact, operational readiness and regulatory reality.
Turn operational insight into requirements that engineering can build. You live and breathe the workflows our customers live by: pre-flight planning, mission execution, data delivery and analysing actionable insights. You author clear product and system requirements and work closely with engineering to ensure what gets built actually solves the problem.
Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner with hardware, software, manufacturing, regulatory and sales teams. Drive collaboration, prioritisation and decision-making on trade-offs and scope changes.
Compliance & Safety: In all you do, you ensure compliance with EASA and regional regulations. Help define safety features and fail-safe behaviors.
Launch & Post-Launch: Support go-to-market efforts, stakeholder communication (internal and external) and monitor fleet health, drive continuous improvements and hardware revisions (in close collaboration with engineering). Define positioning by mission capability, reliability and regulatory readiness. Align pricing with hardware and operational margins, software subscriptions, and payload upsells.
Best Practices & Collaboration: Document and develop product management best practices and collaborate across teams to exceed expectations.

Collaborative Leader: You build alignment across diverse stakeholders, you influence and drive decisions that balance innovation with practicality.
