We are looking for a Senior IT Project Manager to join our team in Lisbon, supporting one of our major global clients. This is a role for a strategic driver who can navigate complex IT landscapes and deliver end-to-end excellence.

In this role, the selected candidate will be fully accountable for the successful delivery of diverse IT projects—ranging from new software deployments and bespoke developments to infrastructure rollouts (LAN/WIFI) and major backbone system upgrades (SAP/PLM).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership & Lifecycle: Lead projects from initial concept and business case through to final deployment and handover.
  • Planning & Governance: Establish complete project plans (WBS, schedules, resources) and manage key governance gates and milestone reviews.
  • Quality & Compliance: Drive a quality-driven delivery culture, ensuring full compliance with internal IT management standards and auditable documentation.
  • Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary liaison for business customers, IT teams, and senior management, translating business needs into effective IT solutions.
  • Risk & Budget Control: Proactively identify risks and dependencies while taking full responsibility for forecasting and controlling the project budget and supplier relations (SoW).
  • Service Transition: Plan the transition into live operations, ensuring operational readiness and ITIL-based L2 support structures.

Your Profile:

  • Degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven professional track record in leading complex IT projects through the full lifecycle within large-scale industrial environments.
  • Strong knowledge of traditional (PMI/PMP/PRINCE2) and Agile (Scrum/SAFe) methodologies. Certifications are highly valued.
  • Broad knowledge of enterprise IT (SAP, PLM), software development lifecycles, and/or IT infrastructure.
  • Expert proficiency with Jira, Confluence, and MS Project.
  • High resilience, assertiveness, and the ability to negotiate with and manage senior stakeholders.
  • Business-fluent English is mandatory; German is a significant plus.

What We Offer:

  • The chance to work in a truly multicultural and innovative environment.
  • Continuous growth through digital solutions, classroom sessions, and certified training.
  • A hybrid working model, balancing onsite collaboration with offsite flexibility.
  • A modern office well-connected to Lisbon’s public transportation.
