Full Stack AI Engineer

Location: Zurich, Switzerland (or Austin, Texas)

Salary: $200K – $240K + equity

Work Model: Remote, with preference for candidates based in / open to relocating to Zurich or Austin

About the Role

Our client is building next-generation AI agents for industrial environments, focused on planning, maintenance, and quality across manufacturing and warehousing.

Their platform ingests multimodal sensor data (video, telemetry, etc.), reasons over structured operational systems, and drives real-time, closed-loop decision-making.

This is an opportunity to join early and build production-grade AI systems from the ground up alongside engineers from leading companies and top AI startups.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Build and deploy agent-based systems across use cases like quality, maintenance, and operations
• Develop multimodal pipelines combining video, sensor, and structured data
• Design and scale real-time, streaming data systems
• Work across the stack (Python, TypeScript) from data ingestion → model serving → UI
• Build knowledge graphs / ontology systems grounded in real-world processes
• Integrate with enterprise systems (ERP, CMMS, WMS, PLC)
• Create decision-making tools (dashboards, workflows, alerts) with strong auditability

Ideal Candidate Profile

Seniority

• 3+ years experience as an ML Engineer, Computer Vision Engineer, or Software Engineer

Experience

• Built and shipped 0→1 products at a VC-backed startup (pre-seed to Series B ideal)
• Delivered agentic systems / AI agents in production (not just standard full-stack apps)
• Worked with physical-world data (video, sensors, IoT) — ideally in CV, robotics, or AV
• Experience building enterprise-grade platforms for complex customers
• Built or contributed to data streaming platforms (e.g. Kafka / Confluent)

Hard Skills

• Strong experience building real-time, streaming systems at scale
• Comfortable across backend, data infra, and frontend
• Strong understanding of data pipelines, alignment, and system reliability

Soft Skills

• Fluent or near-native English
• Strong ownership mindset and ability to operate in ambiguity
• Pragmatic, production-focused approach to AI (not purely research-driven)

Location

• Based in or willing to relocate to Zurich or Austin
