The creative studio behind one of the world’s most loved sandbox gaming experiences is looking for a Pixel Artist to join their team.
They are searching for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of creativity and collaboration, someone who can transform ideas into playful pixel art that speaks to a global audience.
In this role, you will help shape and deliver the visual identity of the game and work closely with fellow artists and production partners to craft assets that feel cohesive, polished and true to the game’s unique artistic direction. Every texture, model and animation will contribute to a world that tons of fans and players explore every day.
The team values curiosity, creative problem solving and a collaborative mindset. They are looking for someone who takes pride in their craft and enjoys sharing ideas, refining concepts, and bringing playful worlds to life through pixel art.
Responsibilities
- Create pixel art textures and various assets
- Animate 2D and 3D models
- Work with the fellow Artists to follow and improve the artistic vision, style, and direction.
- Communicate and document your progression, results, and insights to the team.
- Work in a cross functional team where you will take ownership of the art delivery as well as represent the art craft in meetings, planning and prototyping.

- You can work with large batches of files.
- You can solve problems with creative solutions to ensure delivery.
- Some experience in crafting art for video games, from conception to release.
- Good understanding of the principles of art, like color theory, shapes, form, lighting, texturing.
- An ability to communicate and contextualize ideas and artistic work, both in writing and verbally.
- A collaborative mindset, you are someone that cares about people and can help continue to build an inclusive, open, and friendly work environment.
- Fluent in English, spoken and in writing.
Practical details
This is a temporary role for 18 months, ideally starting in June or July at the latest, depending on availability. The role is full time and based in Stockholm, with a hybrid setup where the team meets at the studio two days per week.
