Intro:

Due to a increase of scope on a project for a leading EU OEM in area of Android Automotive IVI, Intellias is glad to announce a vacancy for a Senior Android Developer position! The project is focused on development of next generation IVI media casting solution. Successful candidates will be working in very friendly and process oriented team, designing, developing and optimizing high quality solution for one of the most famous EU OEM! The team will work according to a Scaled Agile framework best practices, used by the OEM, with focus on technology excellence and high automotive-grade quality standards.

Project Overview:

Project goal is development of IVI media casting solution on Android Automotive software platform for leading EU OEM. It is full cycle development project that at the moment is in early software architectural design phase. The following technology stack is planned to be used: AOSP based Android Automotive SW platform, Kotlin/Java/C++ programming languages, Media casting technologies incl. Google Cast and Apple AirPlay. Team size at the peak will be 10+ engineers. Scaled Agile best practices alongside with automotive grade processes will be applied on this project.

Requirements:

• Strong understanding of C++, memory management, STL containers
• Strong Kotlin development skills with a solid understanding of Android application architecture**
• Good knowledge of architecture and design patterns, and API design principles
• Proficiency in multithreading and concurrency using Kotlin Coroutines and/or RxJava
• Strong experience with Android Studio, gradle
• Strong expertise in HAL and Android services
• Hands-on experience with multithreading, including race conditions, deadlocks, etc.
• Practical experience with unit testing
• Experience with debugging tools
• Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal, with technical and non-technical multi-functional teams
• High critical thinking skills to evaluate alternatives and present solutions that are consistent with business objectives and strategy
• Self-motivated, well-organized, detail-oriented, and a strong team player
• Creativity and high level of independence
• Experience with all phases of the software development life cycle
• Understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and engineering practices
• English level: Upper-Intermediate (B2)

Will be a plus:

• Good understanding of Android Automotime platform architecture
• Aptitude and desire to independently learn new technologies
• Experience with bug-tracking tools like Bugzilla, Jira, etc.
• Experience with code versioning tools such as Git (pull requests, branching strategies, tags, etc.)
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub)
• Familiarity with the build process management tools such as CMake/Make
• Experience with Python, bash scripting
• Experience in documentation creation
• Experience with containers (Docker, Kubernetes)
