IT Strategy & Digital Transformation
Oslo (Hybrid)
Backed by the unparalleled insight of Gartner Research, Gartner Consulting enables senior business and technology leaders to navigate disruption with confidence. We combine objective, data‑driven insight with deep industry expertise to help organisations accelerate digital transformation and realise measurable value.
As part of our continued investment in the Nordic region, we are seeking an exceptional Managing Partner to accelerate the growth of our Commercial Sectors business in Norway. This role will complement our existing Partner team, expanding our capabilities, strengthening our industry coverage, and deepening our portfolio of high‑impact client engagements.
About the Role
As Managing Partner, you will be the strategic lead for some of Norway’s most influential organisations across the likes of Energy & Utilities, Industrial Products, Transport & Logistics, and Financial Services, advising on mission‑critical transformation and technology priorities.
You will build trusted relationships with executive stakeholders, shaping their technology and digital agendas and guiding them across IT Strategy, digital transformation, applications modernisation, cloud strategy, and value realisation.
You will bring the commercial acumen to grow a substantial client portfolio, the capability to engage credibly at C‑suite level, and the consulting pedigree to oversee delivery of complex transformation programmes. This is a high‑impact role for someone who can operate as a trusted advisor, combining strategic insight with actionable execution leadership.
What You Will Do
In this role, you will:
- Lead and expand Gartner’s consulting footprint across Norway’s commercial sectors, driving growth beyond current capabilities and offerings.
- Build and sustain trusted executive relationships with CEOs, CIOs, CTOs, CFOs, CDOs and senior transformation leaders.
- Shape and deliver engagements across IT Strategy, including operating models, architecture, governance, digital roadmaps and technology strategy.
- Partner with Gartner Research to anchor transformation programs in evidence‑based insight, ensuring clients benefit from our global benchmarks, best practices and technology trends.
- Oversee delivery of complex transformation initiatives, ensuring measurable value, execution excellence and alignment to client strategic objectives.
- Lead sales pursuits, craft compelling proposals and develop long‑term account strategies for priority clients.
- Collaborate closely with Nordic and EMEA Partners to strengthen cross‑sector offerings and expand market presence.
- Mentor and support consultants within the Norwegian team, contributing to a high‑performance, collaborative culture.
What You Bring
You may currently be a Managing Director, Client Partner, Executive Director or equivalent senior leader in a top‑tier consulting firm. Alternatively, you may already be operating at Partner level and seeking the opportunity to shape a rapidly growing Nordic practice.
We are looking for individuals with:
- Strong commercial and sales orientation: proven success in account development, pipeline growth and building long‑term executive relationships.
- Deep IT and management consulting experience enabling credible advisory at senior levels.
- Expertise across one or more major Norwegian commercial sectors, such as: Energy (Oil & Gas, Renewables), Utilities & Power, Transport & Logistics, Financial Services, Industrial Products & Manufacturing, Retail & Consumer
- Experience delivering or overseeing: C‑suite advisory on digital and technology strategy
- Digital transformation and emerging technology adoption
- Applications and cloud modernisation
- IT operating model design
- Value realisation and programme assurance
- A balanced capability across strategy, execution, technology and business change.
- Exceptional analytical, communication and executive‑level influencing skills.
Why This Role is Unique
Joining Gartner Consulting in Norway means stepping into a practice with:
- Significant greenfield opportunity across some of Norway’s most strategic and globally influential sectors.
- Direct access to Gartner's global research, benchmark data and industry insights, creating a distinctive market advantage.
- Close collaboration with experienced Nordic Partners, with the autonomy to drive new offerings and lead major client engagements.
- Cross‑Nordic and European growth opportunities, supported by a scalable operating model and strong leadership sponsorship.
