We are looking for a Senior AI Engineer to design, build, and scale AI systems powering next-generation healthcare products. You will work on real-time inference, AI agents, and large-scale data pipelines that directly impact clinical workflows.
This role sits at the intersection of backend engineering and applied AI, with strong ownership across the full lifecycle of AI systems—from experimentation to production at scale.
Key Responsibilities AI Systems & Microservices
We are looking for a Senior AI Engineer to design, build, and scale AI systems powering next-generation healthcare products. You will work on real-time inference, AI agents, and large-scale data pipelines that directly impact clinical workflows.
This role sits at the intersection of backend engineering and applied AI, with strong ownership across the full lifecycle of AI systems—from experimentation to production at scale.
Key Responsibilities AI Systems & Microservices
- Design and build Python microservices (FastAPI) for:
- Real-time inference
- Structured data processing
- Ensure systems scale reliably to millions of users
- Build and orchestrate:
- LLM pipelines
- AI agents and multi-step workflows
- Use tools like LangChain, LangGraph, or custom frameworks
- Own AI systems from:
- Design → Development → Production
- Handle:
- Monitoring & observability
- Cost optimization
- Failure modes and reliability
- Develop pipelines for:
- Data ingestion
- Processing
- Evaluation
- Build dashboards to monitor and improve model performance
- Integrate AI models into core healthcare products
- Improve automation, accuracy, and user (doctor) experience
- Work closely with:
- Engineers
- Product managers
- Clinical stakeholders
- Translate ambiguous problems into scalable AI solutions
- Set standards for:
- AI system design
- Evaluation methodologies
- Raise the overall engineering bar
- Strong experience with:
- Python
- FastAPI
- Experience with AI frameworks:
- LangChain / LangGraph / PydanticAI
- Strong knowledge of:
- LLM orchestration
- AI agents
- Pipeline design
- Experience with:
- Vector databases / graph databases
- PostgreSQL / Firestore
- Understanding of:
- AI observability & monitoring
- Data pipelines
- 5–8+ years of backend / AI engineering experience
- Proven experience building AI applications in production
- Strong experience with:
- RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation)
- Vector stores & knowledge graphs
- Track record scaling systems to high user volumes
- Fluent in English
- Comfortable working in fast-moving, ambiguous environments
- Experience in healthcare or clinical products
- Experience with real-time AI systems
- Familiarity with cost optimization of LLM systems
