Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Senior .NET Backend Developer to support and enhance a Sales Audit Tool used to analyze and process sales order data from an ERP system.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience building backend microservices from scratch, working with Azure Data Factory (ADF) pipelines, and deploying solutions using CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps. This role is heavily backend-focused and sits within a small, agile engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and support backend microservices for a Sales Audit tool

• Develop and maintain Azure Data Factory (ADF) pipelines to extract and process data from ERP systems

• Implement and support Azure Functions for data processing and orchestration

• Integrate systems using REST APIs and microservices architecture

• Deploy and manage code through Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines

• Work with SQL Server / Azure SQL to manipulate, transform, and analyze data

• Support production systems and ensure data accuracy, performance, and reliability

• Collaborate closely with a small .NET team to deliver new development and enhancements

• Ramp up quickly and contribute immediately to an active project environment

Required Skills & Experience

• 5–7+ years of professional development experience

• Strong hands-on experience with C# / .NET in backend development

• Proven experience building microservices from scratch

• Strong experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF) and pipeline development

• Hands-on experience with Azure services, including:

○ Azure Functions

○ Azure Storage

○ Azure Service Bus

○ Azure Key Vault

• Experience with Azure DevOps, including:

○ CI/CD pipelines

○ Repos

• Strong experience with RDBMS technologies (SQL Server / Azure SQL)

• Solid understanding of cloud security, monitoring, and logging, including:

○ Azure Monitor

○ Application Insights

• Post-secondary education in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience)

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Python experience (10–20%) — ability to read, modify, and work with existing Python code

• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes

• Experience supporting data‑heavy or audit/reporting systems

*Pay range for this role is between $57/hr - 64/hr CAD.
