POSITION SUMMARY
The Product Analyst supports the Product Management team by gathering, analyzing, and maintaining product information that drives catalog development, customer insights, and new product opportunities. This role plays a critical part in ensuring data integrity across systems while contributing to market research and product portfolio expansion.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Maintain and update company product databases with accurate and complete information, including bill of materials, applications, cross references, images, and technical specifications.
- Conduct product line gap analysis to identify opportunities where WAI’s offering may be lacking compared to competitors or customer needs.
- Resolve conflicting or incomplete product data through research and validation to ensure data integrity.
- Support the New Product Development (NPD) process by identifying products not currently offered and providing insights for portfolio growth.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (Product, Marketing, Sales, Engineering) to ensure alignment and effective communication.
- Promote knowledge sharing and cross-training initiatives to improve team productivity and versatility.
- Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by management.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- Associate’s Degree, Technical School Degree, or equivalent experience.
- Experience
- 1+ years of experience in Product Management, Product Analysis, or a related field.
- Research or product data experience in automotive, manufacturing, or similar industries is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Access, Outlook).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of product cataloging, digital marketing, and technical product data is highly valued.
