Alongside traditional project delivery, you’ll play a key role in shaping and delivering Consumer Finance projects, ensuring new capabilities are introduced responsibly and deliver real customer and business value.

What’s the role?
As a Senior Project Manager, you’ll lead end-to-end delivery of complex technology initiatives, ensuring outcomes are delivered safely, compliantly and at pace. Alongside traditional project delivery, you’ll play a key role in shaping and delivering Consumer Finance projects, ensuring new capabilities are introduced responsibly and deliver real customer and business value.
You will:
- Own delivery across scope, schedule, budget, risk and quality for complex technology initiatives
- Translate business strategy into clear delivery plans and measurable outcomes
- Lead cross‑functional teams including engineers, architects, data specialists, vendors and business stakeholders
- Apply Westpac delivery frameworks while adapting ways of working to suit emerging technologies
- Proactively identify opportunities where AI or automation could improve delivery outcomes, efficiency or customer value
- Anticipate and manage change impacts associated with AI, automation or advanced analytics, in terms of skills, delivery and customer experience
- Coach and uplift delivery capability across the team, sharing learnings and modern delivery practices
What do I need?
- Experience leading large or complex technology projects from planning through to delivery and handover
- Strong stakeholder and vendor management skills, with the ability to influence and build trust
- Confidence managing delivery across scope, schedule, budget, risk and quality
- Experience working within structured delivery frameworks and agile environments
- A practical, outcomes focused mindset with the ability to coach and support others in delivery best practice
