About The Role
We are seeking a skilled App Developer specializing in Android and Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) to join our dynamic IT team. In this role, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of our digital health services by developing, enhancing, and maintaining the TK mobile application. Your primary focus will be on leveraging modern technologies and best practices to create user-centered, innovative, and reliable applications that serve millions of users across Germany. Working within an agile environment, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams comprising UI/UX designers, IT specialists, and business experts to deliver high-quality solutions that meet the evolving needs of our members. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to impactful projects that improve healthcare accessibility and digital engagement for a diverse user base.
Qualifications
- A completed university degree in computer science or a comparable vocational qualification with extensive practical experience in software development.
- Proven expertise in developing modern, native Android applications using Kotlin and related frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose, MVVM architecture, and a thorough understanding of Android platform guidelines.
- Experience in developing Kotlin Multiplatform components, designing reusable software modules across platforms.
- Solid knowledge of standardized interfaces and protocols such as OpenID Connect, OpenAPI, FHIR, and matrix.org, along with mobile security best practices.
- Proficiency in automated testing frameworks including JUnit, Robolectric, and Espresso to ensure robust and reliable code.
- Strong problem-solving skills, enthusiasm for tackling complex challenges, and a proactive approach to delivering effective solutions.
- Drive the continuous development and enhancement of the TK mobile app utilizing modern Android technologies and frameworks.
- Design, develop, and implement user-centered, innovative applications in close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams in an agile environment.
- Create abstracted, reusable software components based on Kotlin Multiplatform to facilitate cross-platform development.
- Implement, test, and maintain tools and components for application development with KMP, ensuring high standards of quality and security.
- Write and execute comprehensive unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to guarantee application stability and performance.
- Engage actively in the developer community, share knowledge, and contribute to the ongoing evolution of the platform and best practices.
