Our client is seeking an eCommerce App UX Designer to create exceptional digital experiences that drive customer satisfaction and loyalty. In this Consultant role, you will focus on designing intuitive and user-friendly interfaces for the mobile application, ensuring seamless integration with in-store and online retail features. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of retail technology, mobile application UX design, and a passion for crafting innovative, user-centered digital solutions.


What You Will Do:

  • Facilitate design thinking meetings and collaborate with cross-functional teams to generate innovative ideas and solutions.
  • Work closely with UX Researchers to understand user needs, behaviors, and pain points.
  • Create wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes to communicate design concepts and gather user feedback.
  • Collaborate with UI Designers on interfaces that are visually appealing, easy to use, and accessible to all users.
  • Work closely with product managers, engineers, and other designers to ensure a seamless design process.
  • Adhere to accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG, AODA) to ensure inclusive design.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest UX trends and best practices.
  • Mentor and guide junior designers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.


What You Will Bring:

EXPERIENCE

  • 5+ years experience creating exceptional mobile application and eCommerce experiences at a digital agency or eCommerce company. Strong preference for experience with well-known consumer applications (1M+ users).
  • Experience designing for in-store retail features such as product scanning, mobile payments, and loyalty programs.
  • Understanding of retail technology and how it enhances the customer experience.
  • Experience collaborating with UX & UI Designers, Researchers and Copywriters to build 'best-in-class' digital experiences.


KNOWLEDGE

  • Must be self-motivated and driven to deliver quality, focus, and vision towards customer-centric digital experiences.
  • Expert working knowledge of Figma, Adobe XD, and Creative Suite with strong interpersonal skills specific to verbal and oral communication and collaboration.
  • Strong understanding of UX principles, including user-centered design, information architecture, and interaction design.
  • Familiarity with Design Thinking, usability principles, and accessibility guidelines.
  • Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, or equivalent work experience
