Responsibilities

We’re looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our Core DevOps team at IGT Playdigital! The role brings with it exciting opportunities to work on some of the largest production iGaming cloud systems, and since the team has ownership of the cloud platforms you will play a vital role in not only building great solutions in AWS, but you will also be involved in the architectural design and planning phases of the deployments too! We believe in constant growth and equal ownership of systems in the IGT Play Digital DevOps team which is why we ensure that all team members work on various project verticals using different technologies and the team constantly rotates throughout the years quarters so ensure knowledge sharing and equal opportunities

Qualifications

• Expert knowledge of AWS
• 2+ years working in a DevOps role
• Experienced in Terraform, Ansible
• Expert Knowledge in Linux
• Knowledge of Kubernetes

Keys to Success

• Contribute to new AWS deployment solutions and improvements to existing systems
• Deliver multiple environments in QA, Stage and Production using our DevOps tooling
• Implement and further develop various DevOps practices such as Automation, IaC, Configuration Management, CICD, Observability & Security
• Work alongside other talented DevOps engineers and SMEs within the team
• Identify areas of improvement, plan out solutions, and own the implementation
• Practice a FinOps to cost optimize workloads on AWS
• Implement various industry best practices in our respective fields
• Improve our established Terragrunt & Terraform framework and respective modules
• Build out new Ansible playbooks and improve existing ones and existing Ansible framework
• Work on a wide variety of AWS services and work alongside AWS enterprise solutions architects
• Take ownership of production environments and associated uptime and stability requirements
• Work in an agile way using Jira, daily standups and establishing communication channels with various teams
