The HR Specialist will provide expert support across a range of HR functions, across the entire employment lifecycle (including onboarding, payroll processing, compensation & benefits administration, HR data administration, employee relations, performance management support, and offboarding). This role collaborates closely with the employees, managers, and Head of HR to ensure that the HR policies and practices are implemented consistently, supporting a positive work environment and alignment with business objectives, at a fast-growing peace.

Key duties and responsibilities

  • Onboarding: Prepare the onboarding process, including coordinating the medical check-up process, drafting employment documents (employment contract, job description, etc.) and welcome day preparation;
  • Payroll: Prepare accurate and timely payroll process, while maintaining up-to-date employee records. Ensure full compliance with tax, legal, and audit requirements. Collaborate with external payroll services and the internal HR and finance teams to ensure smooth and accurate payroll execution;
  • Compensation & Benefits: Administer employees' benefits and maintain accurate HR and compensation data. Support updates to employee records and related documentation;
  • HR Administration & Compliance: Maintain accurately updated HR systems (including REGES, and internal HR tools), key employment processes, and required documentation. Ensure compliance with Romanian labor, tax, and social security legislation. Prepare internal monthly reports and external reports;
  • HR Projects & Initiatives: Contribute to HR projects, including policy reviews, engagement activities, and D&I initiatives. Support HR reporting and data analysis to inform decisions;
  • Employee Relations & Performance management: Act as the main point of contact for employees and manager HR queries, ensuring fair and consistent application of policies. Provide guidance on HR policies, performance management, and employee development. Manage employee relations cases, including grievances, disciplinary actions, and performance issues;
  • Offboarding: Coordinate offboarding activities to ensure smooth departing employee experience when the case.

Required experience & competencies

  • 5+ years of experience in an HR Generalist, HR Specialist or Business Partner rol
  • Strong knowledge of Romanian labor law, tax, social security, and employment legislation
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and data confidentiality;
  • Excellent communication skills in Romanian and English;
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment;
  • Proficiency in Excel and experience working with HRIS or payroll software;
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a problem-solving mindset;
  • Proactive, organized, and team-oriented mindset;
  • Customer-oriented mindset when supporting employees and managers.

Required Education

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business management, business administration, or equivalent experience;
  • Professional Certifications: Certifications from organizations such as the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) or other HR Certifications increase competitiveness.
