Our client needs a Junior ISRM Threat Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting the organization's cybersecurity posture by monitoring, analyzing, and responding to potential security threats. This entry-level position provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in incident response, and security operations. The Junior Threat Analyst will work closely with senior analysts to identify and assess security risks, contribute to threat hunting activities, and assist in the development of security reports and recommendations. This person can have a year of two of experience that is lookin to grow a career in Security. The main purpose of this role is to work and administer CrowdStrike. They will be responsible for the crowdstrike console. The areas of focus for this person will be handling with Crowdstrike are below:
Threat Monitoring And Analysis
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and other security tools for potential threats.
- Analyze security logs and alerts to identify suspicious activity and potential security incidents.
- Research and analyze emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and attack vectors.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of threat intelligence feeds.
- Assist in the investigation and containment of security incidents.
- Gather and document evidence related to security incidents.
- Follow established incident response procedures and playbooks.
- Assist in post-incident analysis and reporting.
- Assist in the management and support of the enterprise EDR solution. This would include, but not be limited to, the following tasks:
Test and deploy updated EDR sensors
Collaborate with other teams to assist in troubleshooting EDR issues
Threat Hunting Assistance
- Assist senior analysts in proactive threat hunting activities.
- Utilize threat intelligence and security tools to identify potential threats.
- Document findings and contribute to threat hunting reports.
- Assist in the preparation of security reports and presentations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of security incidents, vulnerabilities, and threat intelligence.
- Contribute to the development of security awareness materials.
- A bachelor's degree in information systems
Pursue relevant security certifications and training.

This is a Contract position based out of New York, NY.
Pay And Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00/hr.
