Responsibilities:

• Building, configuring, and deploying Web applications and services in cloud and on-premises environments
• Integrating various services (databases, storage, APIs) into web applications
• Automating processes and optimizing workflows using CI/CD pipelines
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment
• Monitoring and troubleshooting OpenShift environments, ensuring high availability and scalability
• Configuring, maintaining, and monitoring infrastructure management tools to ensure maximum availability, reliability, and security
• Staying up to date on emerging DevOps trends, technologies, and tools
• Working closely with Data Scientists and Data Engineers
• Active participation in scrum engagements

You must have:

• You have an educational background as Software Engineer or similar, combined with a thorough knowledge of Backend software development
• 5+ years’ experience in DevOps or similar role
• Strong understanding of and experience with Kubernetes/OpenShift and Linux
• Hands-on experience of Linux environment and networking
• Experience with automation: Docker, Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible
• Knowledge of scripting languages (Bash, Python) and CI/CD tools (GitLab, Jenkins)
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and on-premise infrastructure
• Understanding of virtualized infrastructure (VMs, software defined networks, software defined storage)
• Understanding of distributed systems and web architectures design principles
• Good experience of working with CI/CD pipelines with Gitlab for automated deployments
• Familiar or experience with agile development methodology
• Good communication and analytical skills, strong verbal and written communication skills in English are mandatory
• Portuguese residency and eligibility to work in Portugal.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, both in Portuguese and English
• Availability to go to the office once or twice per week, in Lisbon.
