Are you driven by building secure cloud platforms that can withstand real-world threats? In this role, you will help shape and protect a large-scale Azure cloud environment that supports business-critical services with the highest demands on availability and security. You will design cloud security architectures, engineer security controls, and continuously strengthen the security posture of the platform in close collaboration with cloud, cyber security, and platform engineering teams.

You will play a key role in embedding security into cloud engineering and operations. Your responsibilities include identifying and assessing cloud-related cyber risks, translating security requirements into technical solutions, and implementing preventive measures across IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS services. You actively support cloud projects and operational initiatives by defining protection requirements, designing secure architectures, and ensuring security-by-design and security-by-default. In addition, you create, maintain, and evolve cloud security concepts, standards, and documentation, while ensuring knowledge transfer across teams.

To succeed in this position, you bring several years of experience in cyber security roles with a strong focus on cloud security. You have hands-on expertise with hyperscaler technologies—particularly Microsoft Azure—and related security services, as well as experience with vulnerability assessment, offensive security techniques, and cloud hardening. Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code and automation (e.g. Terraform, Git, CI/CD pipelines), container platforms such as Kubernetes, and Identity & Access Management is a strong advantage. You are comfortable working in agile environments, think analytically, act pragmatically, and communicate clearly and confidently in both German and English.
