We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Power BI Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Power BI data models, dashboards, and reports. This role involves applying strong DAX and Power Query skills, implementing security and governance in Power BI Service, collaborating with data engineers, and ensuring high-quality, reliable analytics solutions for business stakeholders.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Power BI Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Power BI data models, dashboards, and reports. This role involves applying strong DAX and Power Query skills, implementing security and governance in Power BI Service, collaborating with data engineers, and ensuring high-quality, reliable analytics solutions for business stakeholders.
What You'll Be Doing
- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and semantic data models
- Use Power Query (M) for data transformation, cleansing, validation, and reconciliation
- Build DAX measures, calculated columns, and configure field parameters for dynamic reporting
- Ensure data quality and integrity across all datasets and reporting layers
- Implement and manage Row-Level Security (RLS) in Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service, including correct role mapping
- Collaborate with data engineers to optimize data pipelines and workflows
- Create compelling data visualizations that effectively communicate insights
- Develop and maintain recurring reports and KPI monitoring dashboards
- Provide ad-hoc analysis and reporting as needed
- Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications
- Present findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and performance optimization within Power BI
- Work with Power BI Service features including workspace and app management, settings, security, refresh configuration; optionally support deployment pipelines
- Use Git for version control and change management of Power BI assets
- Stay current with Power BI best practices, new features, and industry BI trends
- Run basic SQL queries directly against databases for validation and analysis
- Read and understand Python code where needed to interpret backend logic that impacts reports
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Power BI Developer or similar BI role
- Proven experience delivering high-quality analytics using Power BI
- Proficiency in Power BI visuals, DAX, Power Query, field parameters, measures, and calculated columns
- Experience implementing and managing RLS and understanding role mapping in Desktop and Service
- Knowledge of Power BI Service administration (settings, security, workspace/app management)
- Basic to intermediate SQL skills for querying and validating data
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities
- Ability to rapidly adapt and respond to changes in priorities
- Excellent spoken and written English skills
