Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 1 year of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
  • 1 year of experience with data structures and algorithms.
  • 1 year of experience with full stack development, with back-end such as Java, Python, GO, or C++ codebases, and front-end including JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, CSS or equivalent.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • Experience in building, and maintaining products and services for external customers.
  • Experience in building products with leveraging Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML) technologies.
  • Ability to create products for YouTube Creators.

Ask Studio is a collaborative Artificial Intelligence (AI) partner for YouTube Creators. It provides personalized guidance on content and community, helps manage the channel, inspires Creators, and assists in achieving the goals.

In this role, you will help expand Ask Studio features and capabilities, while enabling partner teams to integrate into the platform. You will make direct contributions to address issues by developing and integrating context-aware features and new navigation patterns for Ask Studio. You will be supporting integration with core AI models through the creation of testable, and resilient code. You will be selecting technical approaches from options, seeking help when blocked, and ensuring delivery of quality work. You will be collaborating with the cross-functional team including Product Managers and User Experience (UX) Designers.Google is an engineering company at heart. Responsibilities

  • Write product or system development code.
  • Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
  • Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.
  • Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
