Project Director – Industrial & Logistics Sector
Tier 1 Main Contractor (Confidential)
Location: Amsterdam
Salary: €150,000 – €170,000 + 10% Car Allowance + Package
A leading Tier 1 main contractor, recognised for delivering complex, high-value projects across the industrial and logistics sector, is seeking an experienced Project Director to lead the delivery of major developments in Amsterdam and the wider Netherlands region.
This organisation has built a strong reputation for delivering large-scale warehousing, distribution facilities, food production plants, and other technically demanding industrial schemes. They also possess a strong track record in data centre delivery, which remains a key area of expertise within their portfolio. Due to continued growth, they are now looking to appoint a senior leader to take full ownership of flagship projects.
The Role
As Project Director, you will take full responsibility for the successful delivery of major industrial and logistics projects, from pre-construction through to handover. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, manage key client relationships, and ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
Key responsibilities include:
• Leading the end-to-end delivery of large-scale projects (€100m+)
• Managing project teams including Project Managers, Engineers, and commercial staff
• Acting as the primary point of contact for clients and key stakeholders
• Driving programme, cost, quality, and safety performance across the project lifecycle
• Overseeing procurement strategy and supply chain engagement
• Ensuring compliance with all contractual and regulatory requirements
• Providing strategic input during pre-construction and tender phases
• Mentoring and developing senior members of the project team
Requirements
• Proven experience operating at Project Director level within a Tier 1 or leading contractor
• Strong track record delivering large-scale industrial, logistics, or mission-critical projects
• Experience in sectors such as warehousing, manufacturing, food production, or data centres is highly desirable
• Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills
• Commercially astute with strong contractual knowledge
• Experience managing projects in excess of €100m in value
• Willingness to be based on-site in Amsterdam
