Senior Software Engineer (Python) – Cloud Infrastructure | Amsterdam | 200k OTE

Imagine building the backend systems that power high performance cloud environments across Europe and North America. Not another CRUD application, but real infrastructure, security services, billing engines, monitoring systems, and internal networking tools running in high-load, distributed environments.

For a fast-scaling cloud infrastructure company in Amsterdam, we are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer who thrives on complexity and ownership. This organization operates its own data centers and delivers scalable compute power for demanding workloads. As part of the backend engineering team, you will primarily work with Python and collaborate closely with infrastructure, hardware, and platform engineers.

Your work will directly impact how compute resources are secured, monitored, and billed at scale. You will design and build backend services that support distributed systems, improve reliability, and optimize performance in environments where uptime and efficiency truly matter.

• We are looking for someone with 10+ years of Python experience who feels comfortable operating in high-load environments and understands cloud-native architectures.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is important, as well as a genuine interest in working close to infrastructure, networking, and data center systems.
• This role suits engineers who enjoy going deep technically and want to see their code operating in serious production environments.
