About the Role

Step into a pivotal leadership role at Ford Business Services (FBS) Romania as our Operations Director, where you will be instrumental in shaping the operational excellence of our FBS team, reflecting the rigor, discipline, and clarity we value in our operations. This is a unique opportunity to drive performance and results across critical customer and dealer support functions for four key European markets: France, Germany, Italy, and Spain. You'll lead strategic alignment, foster continuous improvement towards an ever-improving user experience, and ensure meticulous compliance with policies and procedures in a dynamic and evolving environment.

What will be your roles and responsibilities in the team?

  • Champion an ‘always-on’, 'customer-first' culture, ensuring the FBS Operations team delivers distinctive, best-in-class service levels and resolves customer and dealer complaints swiftly and effectively, fostering positive outcomes and fair treatment for all stakeholders.
  • Lead the full talent lifecycle, including selection, development, and succession planning for a diverse team, ensuring alignment with FCE Bank plc’s strategic objectives and adherence to company policies and procedures. This includes empowering your team to "Deliver It. Own It." with a strong focus on Excellence.
  • Drive consistent achievement of operational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for the location, demonstrating Focus to "Do Only What Matters" and maintaining a "Bias for Action."
  • Ensure rigorous implementation and execution of company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, upholding the highest standards of compliance as outlined in the Compliance Manual.
  • Implement and monitor policies and guidelines in strict accordance with the company's Risk strategy and prevailing legislation.
  • Oversee robust governance and control frameworks, proactively identifying, reporting, and managing operational risks, including those related to Operational Resilience.
  • Continuously monitor, evaluate, and enhance the overall effectiveness and efficiency across all operational teams.
  • Manage the overall cost centre budget, identifying and implementing strategies for operating cost efficiencies.

Are we looking for you? Yes, if you have:

  • Proven experience of 3-5 years in operational management, spanning multiple European markets, demonstrating a strong understanding of diverse market dynamics.
  • Exceptional leadership capabilities with a track record of successfully managing and motivating multiple teams to achieve ambitious results and foster professional growth, instilling the Excellence to "Deliver It. Own It."
  • Demonstrated ability to inspire, influence, and drive a culture of continuous improvement and customer-centricity.
  • Expertise in team management, conflict resolution, and fostering a collaborative, high-performance environment, embodying the Collaboration behaviours of "Seek To Understand" and "Solve Together."
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer and stakeholder service.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement skills, coupled with a drive for results and a "Bias For Action."
  • A proven ability to critically assess, redesign, disrupt, and modernize operational processes for enhanced efficiency and effectiveness, contributing directly to an ever-improving user experience.
  • Excellent prioritization and organizational skills to manage complex workloads and meet strategic objectives.
  • Fluency in English (minimum C1 level) is required; proficiency in French, German, Italian, or Spanish is a significant advantage.

Location/Work Environment:

  • This position is based 4 days a week at the Ford Business Services (FBS) Romania location in Bucharest.
