Qamcom is growing and we are looking for a Software Test Engineer to strengthen our team.
Qamcom Research and Technology is an innovation hub specializing in intelligent, connected embedded systems. We offer expert consulting services and product development in areas such as sensors, radars, signal and image processing, embedded hardware and software, multimodal AI analytics, wireless communication, edge-cloud infrastructure, and functional safety. Our team possesses the comprehensive skills necessary to develop complete products for serial production. We can take ownership of every aspect of the development chain from the initial design to the final product.
About The Role
In this role, you will work hands-on with testing across the development cycle, focusing on software, system, and integration testing in embedded environments. Much of the work is performed on real systems, where understanding software–hardware interaction is key.
Your responsibilities include:
You will also work in a well-equipped lab with climate chambers and an EMC chamber, enabling testing under realistic conditions.

About The Role
In this role, you will work hands-on with testing across the development cycle, focusing on software, system, and integration testing in embedded environments. Much of the work is performed on real systems, where understanding software–hardware interaction is key.
Your responsibilities include:
- Designing and maintaining test cases
- Analyzing logs and test results
- Performing structured and exploratory testing
- Troubleshooting and root cause analysis across system levels
- Improving test environments and tools
- Integrating automated testing into CI/CD workflows
You will also work in a well-equipped lab with climate chambers and an EMC chamber, enabling testing under realistic conditions.
Qualifications
- University degree in a relevant field (e.g., electronics engineering).
- PHD or 6+ years of hands-on experience in embeddded systems.
- Experience in test design, test planning, and structured/systematic testing
- Experience with system or integration testing
- Experience writing automated tests
- Programming skills for example, Python, C or C++
- Experience working with Git
- Swedish work permit
- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with GitLab or similar tools
- Experience setting up test environments or test rigs
- Experience with model-based testing
