The Cornille Laboratory In The Division Of Science At New York University Abu Dhabi Seeks To Recruit a Research Assistant. The Successful Applicant Will Conduct Population Epigenomics Analyses On Plants. The Main Foci Of These Analyses Will Be

  • The identification of molecules, genes, and epigenomic features that have evolved adaptively or play a role in the response to stress.
  • The associated microbiomes involved.

The successful applicant will have the chance to develop an independent research project aligned with the lab's focus on molecular biology and/or evolutionary genomics. Motivated applicants with a background in molecular biology are encouraged to apply.

This position is supervised by Dr. Amandine Cornille

Successful Candidates Must Possess a Bachelor’s Or Master’s Degree In Biology. Substantial Experience In One Or More Of The Following Areas Is Highly Desired

  • Conduct techniques in molecular biology by adapting experimental conditions (apply health and safety rules, extract and sequence DNA and RNA).
  • Execute fundamental statistical analyses, with some skills in bioinformatics analysis being a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and the ability to work in multidisciplinary teams, as well as demonstrate scientific creativity, are essential.
