Role Summary:

The Senior Manager – Project Delivery, would be responsible for planning and delivering construction projects end to end, including budgeting, team coordination, supplier engagement, and project execution.


Reporting to the Director Project Delivery the role involves setting timelines, providing guidance, and communicating progress with project teams and stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate closely with Director Project Delivery to develop the project execution strategy and establish key performance indicators (KPI's) to monitor implementation of the same across all projects.
  • Assist the Director Delivery in preparing project development briefs for various DMCC assets.
  • Develop and support the preparation of project budgets and feasibility studies for Senior Management approval. Assist in preparing RFPs, Consultancy Agreements, and Construction Contracts.
  • Prepare the project management plan and project delivery schedules.
  • Monitor project progress on a routine basis and work closely with different departments to ensure timely course corrections as needed.
  • Lead and manage relationships internally at upper management level for the project(s) through periodic update and feedback meetings.
  • Finalize and manage scope, schedule and budget changes where necessitated.
  • Monitor the implementation of strategic initiatives in project activities.
  • Expedite project operations by dealing directly with individuals and organizations involved.
  • Ensure appropriate usage and application of the DMCC project management system with respect to entry and analysis of work-related data for day to day functioning to facilitate seamless communication of all relevant (technical/non-technical) information across the organization on a real time basis for maximum effectiveness.
  • Oversee with the operations of the project commissioning team to ensure that all projects are meticulously commissioned to deliver world class standards of quality to DMCC.
  • Coordinate with the Property Department to finalize quality, cost, time and HSE goals for all projects.
  • Coordinate with IT Department to set up project management tools for tracking and reporting on all aspects of the project. Monitor and present various progress reports to management and external clients.
  • Monitor and analyze overall outcomes on quality, cost, time and HSE to make sure the project is on track and to strategize continuous improvements for current and future projects.
  • Requisition for the procurement of project resources like manpower, materials and equipment as necessary.
  • Minimize any extra cost for changes requested by DMCC.
  • Develop and modify the project control system to match project requirements over many contractors for different packages in consultation with the concerned departments.
  • Support marketing and business development teams to develop project definitions for pre-sales.
  • Support the Director - Delivery and other department heads on feasibility studies and risk plans.
  • Participate in pricing decisions and support negotiation and contracting.
  • Oversee engagement and onsite management of project partners, subcontractors, suppliers and vendors.
  • Establish KPIs for partner and vendor work and systems to monitor the same.
  • Develop and manage strategies for stakeholder management.
  • Take executive decisions as required during the ongoing project in accordance with the limit of authority.
  • Liaise with the Director – Delivery for critical decisions as required.
  • Advise and direct the Director – Delivery on contractual and technical matters.
  • Manage the project technically and contractually.
  • Manage contract terms between DMCC and other parties and oversee compliance with clauses and requirements of these contracts.
  • Handle contract correspondence with DMCC, consultants, contractors, authorities etc.
  • Review all tender documents and bills of invoice to consultants.
  • Update and authorize any variance order forms. Establish and develop professional relationships with peer professionals in the industry.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and business development teams to showcase DMCC's project management capability in various forums. Maintain awareness of industry best practices.
  • Adapt and adopt leading operations management concepts and best practices into DMCC.
  • Ensure compliance of all project work with various government and market requirements. Ensure compliance with Labour Laws. Ensure implementation of all HR policies in department.


Qualifications:

  • BSc Engineering – Civil / Structural / QS.
  • At least 8-10 years project delivery experience, within the construction/development industry.
