The Client

Our client is a global financial institution offering investment banking services. With operations in over 65 countries and approximately 190,000 employees. They are one of Europe’s largest banks and a globally significant financial institutions, consistently ranking among the top banks worldwide by total assets. Our client offers an award-winning, advanced multi-product FX trading platform that streamlines strategy development, trade execution, and performance monitoring within a fully integrated and user-friendly environment.


The program

The Global Markets Quantitative Research department (GMQR) designs and implements innovative solutions to the most complex issues raised by the bank’s Capital Market activities. It brings expertise on financial modelling, data analytics, machine learning and optimisation. The team counts more than 150 members in all regions, with Paris and London as main hubs. The team is part of the Front Office in the Global Markets organisation.

Within GMQR the Resources & Financing Optimization team provides expert solutions for funding optimization, inventory management and scarce resources optimization. The team develops sophisticated models and puts in place the infrastructure and the technology to compute, explain and steer funding costs and resource consumption.


The role

We are looking for an experienced C# developer to join the Resources & Financing Optimization team. This role will be focussed on the computation and optimisation of Liquidity and Balance Sheet metrics. This is a front office role in the GM Quantitative Research department.


Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance the computation Liquidity and Balance Sheet metrics – design, code, and maintain our internal analytics library written in C#. It is responsible for computing liquidity and balance sheet metrics across all business lines and asset classes within Global Markets.

• Provide analytical tools for trading and business managers - build robust, user friendly applications that support decision making, for monitoring and explaining liquidity and balance sheet resource consumption.

• Engage in front office activities – attend trading meetings, contribute to strategy discussions and proactively anticipate business requirements, delivering timely insights and recommendations.

• Collaborate across functions – Take an active part in all front office activities by collaborating with other functions (Trading, Sales, IT and Market Risk) and Research globally and develop relations with various stakeholders.


Required Skills and Experience

• Graduate degree in computer science, mathematics, or engineering.

• Strong analytical and development skills, good understanding of data structures and algorithms.

• Professional experience with C# or another object-oriented programming language.

• Knowledge of financial products is optional, must show interest and be willing to learn.

• Familiarity with Liquidity or Balance Sheet or other regulatory topics is a major plus.

• Reliable and Detailed-oriented.

• Effective communication skills, ability and willingness to engage with the business.

• Delivery focused and willingness to collaborate with other teams.
