The Role

Our client is seeking a Front-End React Developer with strong UI engineering experience to join their trading technology team. This role is focused on building high-performance, real-time trading interfaces used by professional traders and clients globally. This is a true front-end/UI engineering role, not a full-stack position.

You will be responsible for developing and enhancing complex, data-heavy user interfaces, including charting, trading panels, and real-time market data visualisation, with a strong focus on performance, usability, and responsiveness.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain advanced trading interfaces using React
• Develop high-performance, real-time UI components for market data and trading
• Integrate and customise TradingView charting libraries
• Work closely with traders, quants, and back-end engineers to deliver new trading features
• Optimise front-end performance for data-heavy, low-latency applications
• Ensure cross-browser compatibility and responsive design
• Contribute to UI/UX improvements for trading platforms

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong commercial experience with React and modern JavaScript (ES6+)
• Strong front-end/UI engineering experience (true UI development, not full-stack)
• Experience integrating and working with TradingView charts
• Experience building real-time, data-driven applications
• Strong understanding of WebSockets, APIs, and live data streaming
• Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and modern front-end architecture
• Experience with performance optimisation for front-end applications
• Experience with Git and modern development workflows

Desirable Experience

• Experience working on trading platforms, fintech, or financial markets
• Experience with market data visualisation or charting applications
• Familiarity with energy, commodities, or derivatives markets
• Experience with TypeScript
• Experience with state management libraries (e.g. Redux, Zustand, etc.)
