Role Overview

We're hiring a Network Engineer to design, secure, and maintain robust network systems supporting critical infrastructure. The role blends traditional networking with hybrid cloud (Azure), with a strong emphasis on Fortinet technologies and network security.

This is a hybrid position requiring 3 days onsite in Portsmouth.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain secure network infrastructure (on-prem & cloud)
• Configure and manage Fortinet firewalls and security appliances
• Monitor performance and resolve network issues
• Support Azure cloud and hybrid networking
• Implement and maintain network security controls
• Contribute to scalable, resilient architecture design

Required Experience

• Hands-on experience with Fortinet technologies
• Strong knowledge of traditional networking principles
• Experience in Azure cloud networking
• Understanding of firewalls, access controls, and security standards
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Nice to Have

• Fortinet NSE, CCNA/CCNP, or cloud certifications
• Automation or scripting experience
• Background in utilities or infrastructure environments
