Role Overview
We're hiring a Network Engineer to design, secure, and maintain robust network systems supporting critical infrastructure. The role blends traditional networking with hybrid cloud (Azure), with a strong emphasis on Fortinet technologies and network security.
This is a hybrid position requiring 3 days onsite in Portsmouth.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain secure network infrastructure (on-prem & cloud)
- Configure and manage Fortinet firewalls and security appliances
- Monitor performance and resolve network issues
- Support Azure cloud and hybrid networking
- Implement and maintain network security controls
- Contribute to scalable, resilient architecture design
Required Experience
- Hands-on experience with Fortinet technologies
- Strong knowledge of traditional networking principles
- Experience in Azure cloud networking
- Understanding of firewalls, access controls, and security standards
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Nice to Have
- Fortinet NSE, CCNA/CCNP, or cloud certifications
- Automation or scripting experience
- Background in utilities or infrastructure environments
