You’ll join the Enterprise Data & Banking (EDB) app development team, an Agile, cross‑functional squad building secure, scalable, and AI‑enhanced features within one of Australia’s most widely used mobile banking apps. The team blends engineering, data, and product expertise to deliver high‑impact, customer‑focused mobile solutions.
The Opportunity
We Are Seeking An Experienced Senior Android Developer To Support The Frontend Delivery Of a Major Internal Android Application Within The EDB Program. The Backend Build Is Largely Complete, And This Contract Will Focus On
- Developing and refining modern Android frontend features (Kotlin, Jetpack Compose)
- Supporting automation testing and contributing to CI/CD workflows
- Assisting with deployment and go‑live readiness
- Collaborating with product owners, analysts, UX, and engineering squads
- Helping uplift app capabilities across areas such as AI integration, security, and customer experience
Required Skills
- 7+ years experience in native Android development
- Strong proficiency in Kotlin and the Android SDK
- Jetpack Compose expertise (essential)
- Strong understanding of RESTful services
- Advanced experience with Git/Gitflow
- Background in Agile delivery environments
- Experience with CI/CD and exposure to automation testing
- Experience working on mobile solutions in financial services
- Understanding of secure coding practices
- Experience collaborating in cross‑functional engineering squads
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Hybrid working model (50% in office, 50% WFH)
