At ABAKUS IT SOLUTIONS, we are looking for a highly experienced Senior AI / NLP Engineer to design, build, and optimize advanced machine learning and natural language processing solutions. You will play a key role in shaping intelligent systems that deliver real impact across complex environments. As a Senior AI/NLP Engineer, you will be responsible for developing state-of-the-art AI solutions and integrating them into scalable production systems.

Your Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimize advanced AI, NLP, and ML models
• Leverage LLMs, RAG frameworks, and modern AI approaches
• Develop text processing techniques: tokenization, POS tagging, NER, classification, clustering, etc.
• Fine-tune pre-trained models for domain-specific use cases
• Conduct research and stay up to date with the latest AI/ML advancements
• Build robust, scalable, and efficient solutions using Python
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions into products
• Run experiments and analyses to improve model performance and scalability
• Contribute to ML architecture design and solution stack implementation
• Participate in peer reviews and continuous improvement initiatives
• Create reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate insights

Your Profile

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, or similar
• 13+ years of experience in IT
• Strong expertise in Machine Learning & NLP
• Excellent Python skills with libraries such as Pandas, SpaCy, NLTK, Hugging Face
• Experience with deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow or PyTorch)
• Hands-on experience with LLMs and Transformer-based models
• Familiarity with AI-powered coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Amazon Q)
• Solid knowledge of SQL (Oracle, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Elasticsearch)
• Experience designing scalable ML architectures (model serving, GPU optimization)
• Knowledge of A/B testing and experimental design
• Strong understanding of linguistics and text processing
• Experience with data visualization tools (Matplotlib, Seaborn)
• Awareness of bias in ML systems and mitigation strategies
• Expertise in at least one domain: recommendation systems, forecasting, anomaly detection, topic detection, etc.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to solve complex problems with data
• Excellent communication skills in English
