We are thrilled to offer an amazing career opportunity for an experienced and motivated Software Engineer to join our ABLOY OS product R&D team in Espoo, Finland!

Are you an innovative, enthusiastic and solution focused software expert to strengthen our EAC team in Espoo Finland?

As a Software Engineer you will:

  • Be part of the software development team who designs, implements, maintains and tests backend software for our ABLOY OS product (EAC - Electronic Access Control). Development will be your main role, but we need backend team to help with some of the testing activities as well.
  • Support product management in building development roadmaps and plans, and help ensure their execution.
  • Participate actively in diverse product development projects within domestic and international organizations
  • Act as a Scrum Master on your turn (rotating role) and facilitate some meetings with the development team.

We are looking for a highly experienced candidate who:

  • Takes responsibility and is proactive
  • Is results oriented, value-driven and customer-oriented.
  • Has an understanding of overall product quality assurance and what it takes to develop firmware & application software that all works together as expected
  • Possesses strong communication and team working skills, and enjoy collaborating with others
  • Is a decision maker and a problem solver. Provides solutions to the problems instead of just listing the problems.
  • Is eager to learn more and continuously develop him-/herself

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s of Science in embedded programming, software engineering or related field
  • Solid skills in Java, C/C++, and Python programming languages
  • Strong experience in software development environments in Linux, development tools and related technologies.
  • Experience of using AI capabilities within software development.
  • 2+ years of professional work experience in software development/testing positions.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab)
  • Basic knowledge of electronics and embedded devices
  • Basic understanding of secure programming and security regulations in SW development
  • Fluent in both written and verbal communication in English and Finnish
  • Knowledge and understanding of agile methodologies such as Scrum and SAFe
  • Resides in the Helsinki capital area and is available to work at least two days per week from our office in Leppävaara, Espoo, Finland.
