About Your Role

Tigera is seeking a Senior UI Engineer to join a new team in Cork, building the frontend of our new SaaS product, Calico Cloud.

You Will

You will work closely with other software engineers, DevOps engineers, and product managers to deliver products and features on time and to quality while managing and communicating risks. To do this, you will design and build the user interface related to the Calico products.

Deliverables related to these activities will include code and UI artifacts, along with their associated automated tests, which constitute the Calico Cloud user interface. Depending on the feature being built, deliverables may also include wireframes and/or mockups to enable efficient design sessions with our Product Management team.

You Have

  • 5+ years of product-oriented UI development experience (SaaS is a plus)
  • Deep expertise in modern web application development, including:
    • React and frameworks such as Next.js
    • TypeScript / modern JavaScript (ES6+)
    • Semantic HTML and modern CSS (including component-driven styling approaches)
  • Strong experience building and maintaining scalable single-page applications (SPAs) and/or hybrid SSR applications
  • Experience working with design systems and component libraries
  • Experience with modern testing practices and tools such as:
    • Cypress
    • Playwright
    • Jest / React Testing Library
  • Experience mentoring developers, reviewing code, and improving engineering standards
  • Experience collaborating with product managers and designers to scope, estimate, and deliver work
  • Familiarity with design and prototyping tools (e.g. Figma)

Nice-to- Have

  • Experience with technical leadership
  • Experience working in an open source company with a focus on cloud, networking and/or network security
  • Experience working with AI coding assistants such as:
    • GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Claude Code
