Executive Project Manager
Office of the CEO (Maternity Cover)
Dublin City Centre - Hybrid (2-3 days onsite/WFH) - Salary: €82,290 - 15 month contract - Start Date: ASAP
Role Overview:
This role is a high-level strategic position designed for an experienced professional capable of acting as a force multiplier for the CEO. It is well-suited to candidates with a background as a Executive Project Manager, Chief of Staff, Strategic Operations Manager or Strategic Programme Lead - the title doesn't matter, but this role requires somebody with experience in a high-influence, fast-paced position.
This is a 15-month fixed-term contract within the Office of the CEO. Reporting directly to the CEO and collaborating with all Directorates, the Executive Project Manager drives the delivery of strategic objectives supporting the CEO and Executive Leadership Team (ELT) across a wide range of activities.
The successful candidate will join an enthusiastic and innovative team committed to the high-quality delivery of strategic objectives and will play a vital liaison role between the CEO and the Board, ELT, Senior Management Team (SMT) and wider staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Driving the delivery, analysis and further development of strategic and organisational goals on behalf of the CEO.
- Supporting the CEO by managing engagements and building key relationships.
- Drafting and coordinating documents and Board papers on behalf of the CEO.
- Providing analytical information and business insights to the CEO and leading on reporting requirements with key stakeholders.
- Leading at tactical, strategic and operational levels to handle the oversight, coordination and implementation of projects.
- Managing all internal communications from the Office of the CEO.
- Driving execution of projects, action items, business plans and top priorities agreed upon by the CEO and the ELT.
- Liaising and collaborating with teams across all areas and grades to drive implementation of strategic objectives.
- Owning and continuously improving the operating cadence within the Office of the CEO.
- Managing executive support staff and liaising with wider support staff internally.
- Working closely with Public Affairs to deliver the CEO’s objectives and ensuring impactful stakeholder engagements.
- Handling escalations and unsolicited contact to the Office of the CEO, including complaints and lobbying with a high standard of service.
Essential Requirements:
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate:
- A degree (minimum Level 8 on the NFQ or higher) or an equivalent professional qualification in a relevant discipline such as Business, Project Management, Business Analysis or similar.
- At least 8 years of experience working with senior management teams, delivering projects involving diverse internal and external stakeholders.
- Proven experience in effective stakeholder management involving projects with complex interdependencies.
- Excellent written and oral communication and English language skills, including report writing and the ability to create and communicate a vision.
- Direct experience in managing strategic projects and delivering positive customer experiences.
- The ability to work cross-functionally to solve issues creatively and constructively.
Desirable:
- A strong understanding of governance frameworks.
- Experience with public-sector.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Ability to identify and prioritise strategically important actions and advise the CEO regarding their workplan.
- Expertise in managing and coordinating complex, multi-departmental projects from end-to-end.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and interpretive skills with the ability to use sound judgment on complex issues.
- A proactive approach to achieving results while managing scope, time, risk, cost and quality.
- Strong teamwork and cooperation skills within a multi-disciplinary environment.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to self-manage competing demands to meet tight deadlines.
- High level of proficiency in IT and strong attention to detail.
Salary:
This role comes with a set annual salary of €82,290 - paid weekly via Brightwater.
